Endurance Athletes 2 End Alzheimer’s (EA2EA) made its first donation to the Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (GADRC) on June 5 in the amount of $22,000.  EA2EA began operating its charity to raise awareness and funding for Alzheimer’s Research on January 1, 2024.  EA2EA has a goal of raising $250,000 over five years for GADRC.

“The initial donation could not be possible without the generous support of our donors and sponsors who have delighted us with their kindness”, said Susan LeBlanc, EA2EA founder.  It is appropriate to call out the efforts of two of our athletes who garnered extremely generous donations.   Shannon (Lynch) LeBlanc completed the Tokyo Marathon in March to finish her goal of the “Big 6 Marathons”.  In doing so for EA2EA, she had 30 different contributors to the cause.   Susan is still in training for the Women’s Ironman World Championship in Nice, FR in late September.  She has had 29 individual donors to date.

Super work Team – let’s keep pounding out the miles!

As promised, your dollars are going directly to Alzheimer’s research at Emory University GADRC.

“We thank Susan and Jim and Endurance Athletes to End Alzheimer’s for their gracious support of the Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. We look forward to our partnership with EA2EA to advance research on better tests and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, and our goal to ultimately prevent the disease”

Dr. Erik Johnson of GADRC.

Once again thank you for your generous support of EA2EA.  We will keep endurance racing until a cure is found – and we hope you will continue to support and share our message to your networks.

Our next donation to GADRC is planned for Early Fall 2024.
